I originally wanted to buy a former co-worker's house for my first-time purchase. She had gone through a realtor, so I needed my own realtor to complete the transaction. I called Victoria to obtain the home that I thought I wanted. At our first meeting, Victoria asked me what I liked about the house that I wanted to purchase. After talking through the aspects of a home that were important to me, Victoria prepared a list of comparable homes that would help me make an educated decision. We discussed the positive and negative aspects of the homes on the list. One of the homes was a new construction by the Shivers Brothers, which I never thought a single first-time home buyer could obtain. Once in Malapart Heights, we had several different floor plans that we could look at and choose from. The second home in the new neighborhood that we looked at was exactly what I wanted and perfect for my needs. I immediately fell in love with it. We looked at all the homes Victoria had lined up for us. At the end of the day, I had to have the second house we looked at.
That night, she let me and more of my family in the home to look at it. The next day, I was ready to make my offer. Victoria was very thorough in preparing my offer and explaining everything to me. It was very apparent that she keeps the needs and interests of her clients as a high priority. The offer was accepted the same day. She made the process very easy for me and always kept me informed of what was going on and what I needed to do.
At closing time, Victoria attended the walk-through where she continued to kept my interests in the forefront and kept my expectations realistic. With her help, I was able to close early! There were a few items that needed attention; she made sure that the items got the attention they required.
I felt very comfortable being represented by her. She is very thorough, considerate of her clients' wants and interests, realistic, attentive and professional. There was never a time in during the purchase where I didn't know what was going on or that my interests were being ignored. During my home buying experience, I very relaxed because I knew that I was in good hands. When I'm ready to move again, I will definitely call Victoria again. Now, I'm writing this testimony from the living room of my brand new home. I'm very happy with my decisions in both my home and my realtor.

The Martins fought it out in a competitive sector of the market: foreclosures! There were plenty of buyers vying for the properties we selected. Once we found that special one, we found out that the owners actually owed more than the payoff...it was a short sale. We negotiated with Countrywide and I had to pull the home off of the auction block at sheriff's sale after the lender left it on the docket. We got it pulled minutes before it was sold to someone else and with the final liens waived, were able to close but not before we hit a number of other stumbling blocks. Believe it or not, this was one of the better short sales I have negotiated. They CAN be closed but it takes a certain amount of tenacity and a strong stomach on both the buyers and my part.

Ashley and Derrick found me about a year after Hurricane Katrina changed their lives. They found themselves in a tiny apartment in Kenner, longing for a long-term place to call home. After locating their home, our offer was accepted as written, and I delivered them to my lenders at Camellia Mortgage to make certain all of the details of their loan were handled with care. By the time they returned to New Orleans to pack their boxes the next day, we had all inspections scheduled, the loan application submitted, appraisal ordered and their first-year's insurance paid in advance. I like to keep deals moving at a steady clip, so if you are serious about moving, call me and start packing your bags!

Keisha called me up on the very first day she and Lance had started looking for their new home. They saw one of my new listings in the Weekly Homefinder, and we arranged for a showing. That house was not the perfect one for them, but I knew of several others in the same range. We hopped in our cars and looked at two other homes. The Landrys were also Katrina survivors. After losing their home for many, many years, they decided it would be too hard to possibly lose it again in another storm, and so they relocated to Lafayette. They are now living in a wonderful home with many of the same amenities that they loved about their previous home, including original hardwood floors and a spacious, fenced-in yard. | |
